Music direction/supervision for two groundbreaking Broadway musicals, The Who’s Tommy and The Lion King. Other credits in various musical capacities: In The Heights, Sister Act, Les Miserables, Little Shop Of Horrors, Randy Newman’s Faust, and Radio City’s Christmas Spectacular. Joseph has composed music for television, concert stages, and over thirty plays and musicals. He holds a doctorate from NYU, where he teaches composition and conducting. His book, Music Direction for the Stage: A View from the Podium, debuts January 2015 from Oxford University Press.
